Molokai Ranch Lodge, Island of Molokai
The
Molokai Ranch Lodge is a small luxury hotel in the middle of a large ranch,
inland on the Hawaiian island of Molokai. It's at 100 Maunaloa
Highway, phone (808) 660-2824.
Molokai Ranch Lodge has only 22 rooms. (The Lodge also
manages 40 beachfront "tentalows" which are tent accommodations on wooden
platforms, near a beach at another location on the island called the Beach
Village.) Although most Lodge rooms claim to have an ocean view, the
ocean is sevaral miles away, but can be seen in the distance because the
Lodge is on an elevated part of the island. Each room has a lanai
(balcony or porch).
The restaurant for breakfast and dinner in the Molokai Ranch Lodge is the
Maunaloa Room. Lunch is served in the open-air Paniolo Lounge.
At the Beach Village, breakfast, lunch and dinner are buffets in the
community pavilion.
There are a couple other hotels on Molokai, but none are as luxurious or
beautiful as the Molokai Ranch Lodge.
