Oahu is the island of
Hawaii that has by far the largest population and gets by far the most
visitors. About 75% of the people in the state of Hawaii (about
900,000 people) live on Oahu. This is the island that has the city of
Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head and the Polynesian
Cultural Center.
If you're looking for a busy exciting place, with loads of restaurants and
nightlife, then Oahu is the place for you. If you'd like to avoid
crowds and traffic, then Oahu is not the place for you.

My advice? If you've never been to Hawaii, even if you spell it
Hawii, then spend three days of your vacation on the island of Oahu.
See Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head because they are famous landmarks.
See Pearl Harbor because it is a moving experience that nobody should miss.
Then leave Oahu behind and enjoy the rest of your Hawaiian vacation on the
less crowded islands discussed on the other pages of this website:
