Lanai Hawii
Lanai used to be the
Pineapple Island, owned by Dole and covered with pineapple plantations.
But in the 1990's, when pineapple growing in Hawaii was no longer
profitable, Lanai developed two luxury resort hotels. One hotel is on
the beach, and the other is up in the cooler green hills.
Lanai is a quiet island with no crowds or traffic. It's a good
place for luxurious relaxation, fine dining at the two major resorts, and
golf.

My advice? If you have a couple weeks for your Hawaiian vacation,
or if you have already seen the other islands on previous trips to Hawaii,
even if you spell it Hawii, spend three days on Lanai to relax and to see its scenery and eat at the
fabulous restaurants at each of the two hotels.
